Checking your tyre pressures on your Freelander regularly is crucial.
On the Freelander 1, not only can the wrong tyre pressure mean you use more fuel than you need to, but if this makes the rolling radius of your tyres significantly different, it could cause damage to your drive train.
Remember to always check your tyres when they are cold (preferably having done less than 2 miles). Tyres lose pressure more in warm weather so check them regularly during this summer.

Hi I have a 2003 freelander 1. 1.8i. Today it has decided it doesn’t want to start ! Battery is fully charged. Dash lights up ok but won’t even turn over. Tried turning alarm on and off etc in case it was the immobiliser but nothing. It’s not done this before..
Hi Stuart,
This sounds like a problem with the small wire going into the starter motor. If you can feel for the smallest wire into the starter motor and give it a wriggle to push it back in that should solve your problem. If this does not work please let us know and we will suggest some further action.
All the best,
Sue
