Hi Tom,
Sorry to hear you have had problems with your Freelander purchase. Is your Freelander a 1.8 petrol model? Which springs is it you are looking for?
If it is a 1.8 petrol the price of the parts (including VAT) are:
Cam belt kit: £65
Head gasket set with bolts: £85
Reconditioned VCU: £275 (bearings are £65 for the pair if required)
New VCU: £395 (bearings are £105 for the pair if required)
If we do these repairs the costs for a 1.8, including parts, labour and VAT are:
Cam belt replacement (including water pump): £295 (£95 if done at the same time as the head gasket)
Head gasket replacement: standard: £545 / Deluxe £945 (we would recommend doing the deluxe if it has overheated)
VCU, including bearings: Reconditioned £445 / New £605
If you can confirm that it is a 1.8 and which springs you are looking for I will get you the other prices.
All the best,
Sue
